Founded in 2014, Hultman Law PLC is an Intellectual Property Law firm owned and operated by Eric Hultman, JD. The firm’s key areas of practice are Patent, Trademark, and Copyright Law, including applications, renewals, licensing agreements, patentability opinions, trademark explorations, infringement opinions, and prototypes.
Professionally, Eric is a licensed Intellectual Property Law attorney with more than 14 years of legal experience. He is registered with both the State Bar of Michigan, and the US Patent and Trademark Office. Eric holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Michigan State University College of Law with specializations in Intellectual Property Law and Communication Law. He also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Valley State University. Additionally, Eric worked as an automotive engineer for more than 10 years, specializing in part designs and prototypes. With extensive credentials and an accomplished work history, Eric combines his legal expertise with real world experience to provide knowledgeable and practical advice for his clients, optimizing intellectual property protection while minimizing associated expenditures.
Personally, Eric has been happily married for over 17 years; he and his wife are raising their two children together. In his spare time, Eric is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys camping, boating, and motorcycling. He is also an Eagle Scout, and has served as an active member of the Boy Scouts of America for more than 30 years. Eric is currently serving as the Scoutmaster of Troop 3 in Spring Lake. He is also an active member of the Masons, and his local church.
